Early 1900s Gothic Revival Gilt Table Clock w. Christ Holding Lamb Sculpture

About the Item

Stylish and meaningful Gothic mantel clock. This elaborate clock and religious work of art into one dates back to the earliest years of the twentieth century. Standing on the richly decorated and alabaster inlaid base is Jesus holding a lamb. This archetypal and meaningful image of Christ needs no further explanation, but the serene facial expression and the perfect way in which His robe is draped around Jesus's body make it very beautiful to look at. Above the cilindrical and perfect working, eight-day clock mechanism are, among other symbols, an open bible and a Gothic tower with stylish finials. The perfectly enameled white dial face with its black Roman numerals and black hands make it easy to tell time, also from a distance. This perfectly working, highly decorative and meaningful clock with its amazing golden color strikes at the whole hours and once at the half hours. With this antique clock you will also be sent the original key for winding it. This perfect working ecclesiastical clock is great value for money. Also, because our fair price includes perfect packing and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 days. Maximum height x width x depth: 14 x 14 x 4.9 inches.
