About the Item
Early 19th century Restauration-period green vert-de-mer marble clock with gilt bronze decoration. The clock is topped by a Cupid reading in patinated bronze. The ormolu face marks the hours in Roman numerals and is decorated with scrolls and foliage. The dial is signed: Ledure BRONZIER Hémon Her (partially erased but legible). Signed in the back: HEMON A PARIS. Cast by Ledure and Hémon clockmaker.
