French green marble arched mantel clock

About the Item

A very decorative, late Empire arched green marble ‘vertigo’ case. On the front an interesting nicely detailed bronze ‘plaquette’ with two figures from Greek mythology. The simplicity of the case has a great deal of charm and it would grace any beautiful interior. The eight day striking ‘silk thread suspension’ movement with white enamel dial. Typical Empire gilded hands and Roman Numbers.
