Georgian Drum Head Clock with Verge Escapement Signed Wray, London, 18th Century

About the Item

An 18th century walnut cylindrical cased mantel timepiece, signed Wray of London, the 6ins diameter white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, to the eight day single train verge movement, contained in plain cylindrical case with gilt brass lion's mask and ring handles to sides, on shaped base, 10.5 ins high, with ebonised plinth.
