About the Item

Large bronze mantel clock with a gilded pedestal with rocaille decoration, cartouches with scrolls and books and an enamel dial with Roman numerals. On it, in burnished bronze, is a seated Benjamin Franklin surrounded by books and scientific instruments. The upper book reads:”LA SCIENCE DU BONHOMME RICHARD” , the one in his hand: “PROVERBS”.
