About the Item

Bronze table clock from the transitional period between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. This rare bronze table clock is by Lenzkirch and it dates from the transitional period of the Jugendstil into the Art Deco. This German cast bronze clock comes with an enamelled dial face and black lacquered numerals. The lines in this clock are much like the lines in many American Art Deco designs. The combination of the design, the beautiful patina of the bronze and the perfect beveled glass 'windows', through which you can see the pendulum swing, make this an absolute joy to own and look at. The 8 day mechanism is cleaned and in good working condition. The movement is signed 'Lenzkirch' and on the 'counter weight' there is the name 'C.Kühling'. We do not know who he is.
