18th CENTURY NEOCLASSIC CLOCK WITH CHARIOT

About the Item

Refined neoclassical clock in gilded bronze and marble base. The body consists of a classical depiction with a gilded bronze chariot and a swan's head, inside which sits a draped girl playing with a dog. The marble base is trapezoidal, on the sides and front there are also gilded bronze appliques that recall classical motifs. The feet are knob-shaped in gilded bronze. The clock is a pendulum and has a weekly wind, it also strikes the hours and half hours. The object is paired with two candlesticks. French manufacture from the neoclassical period, attributable to the 18th century. Measurements: HxWxD 32 x 29 x 11cm
