18th Century neoclassical sketches with seasons allegory
About the Item
Refined neoclassical style drawings depicting the allegory of the four seasons. The drawings must have been sinopias for paintings or frescoes. The drawings were made on paper using ink, white lead and watercolour. The manufacture is Neapolitan, attributable to the neoclassical period (second half-late 18th century). The drawings were placed in modern gilded wooden frames.
