Rare Black Chinoiserie Miniature Longcase Clock by Elliott of London
About the Item
A rare pagoda topped black chinoiserie miniature longcase clock by Elliott of London, circa 1970, the ebonized case with a pagoda top surmounted by a gilt spire, decorated with scenes including Chinese maiden, pagoda and garden or floral scenes, on stepped base.
The silvered dial with brass chapter ring with Roman numerals, the face marked 'Elliott London'.
The movement is the standard Elliott black cased movement market with an 'E' and 'Made in England'.
This clock is in excellent condition with only minor wear commensurate with age.
