Austrian 18th Century Giltwood and Polychrome Clock
About the Item
A very unique Austrian 18th century giltwood and polychrome clock, with the original Grand Sonnerie movement. At the base is a country scene of a lady holding a rifle. At her feet are two dogs and a hunters spoils, and a man on a horse beside her. A large giltwood tree design is decorated with polychrome leaves. Centered is the large enamel dial with a third calendar hand and a pendulum below. Provenance: From the home of Mr. Alfred Taubman of Palm Beach.
