Cathedral clock, France, 19th century

About the Item

Rare and elegant stand clock from the refined architectural form. Burnished bronze and gilded bronze structure; support structure of rectangular shape with several orders of decorations; front embellished with two tall gilded bronze columns with a portal-like structure in the middle in the lower part and the clock face of circular shape in the upper part. The clock structure is made to simulate the facade of a Gothic cathedral. Back with circular opening to allow access to the clock mechanism. Complete with key, working. France, early 19th Century cm. 48x25x12
