French Portico Clock Signed Cellier à Paris, 19th Century
About the Item
Small portico clock made of gray marble with gilded applications. The cylindrical movement is enclosed between two columns, above which a figural top piece in the form of a seated Chinese man presides. The white enameled dial with black Arabic numerals is signed Cellier à Paris. The rectangular base is decorated with a pearl molding, balustrade elements and decorative chains. The columns are adorned with fine appliqués depicting military trophies.
