About the Item

Desk clock designed by Arthur Imhof. Fabulous desk-table clock, created in Switzerland by the clocks makers house of Imhof, back in the 1950. This clock is very rare and has been crafted with retro modernist zodiacs patterns in solid gilded bronze. Mount in a round pedestal base with a round beveled transparent bluish glass. A great looking desk clock, in exceptional condition. Dial: Original round in transparent glass with mirrored center, analog with round concave batons, twelve zodiac figures and baroque shaped hands in gilt steel. Movement: Manual winding, 8 days, 15 jewels, Lever escapement. Weight: 1.247.4 Grams, (2.75 Pounds). Measurements: 247.6 by 232.4 mm by 110.49 mm (9.75 x 9.15 x 4.35 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark and signed, "IMHOF SWISS 15 RUBIES 470298". IMHOF SA was founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1924 by Arthur Imhof. Known for the manufacture of elegant desk and table watches, the slogan Manufacture de Pendulettes d'Art et Réveils identifies it for the production of quality models, so much so that it is defined in the world of collecting as the Rolls Royce of watches. Desk clocks designed by Cartier, Tiffany and Boucheron has Imhof 8 days movements. Note: Warranty of 12 months on the movement. Condition: The overall condition of this clock is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to any parts. The zodiacal pieces are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
