About the Item

Large modernist brass table world time clock by Kundo / Kieninger & Obergfell, West Germany circa 1970s. Beautiful clock with a large 9-inch round dial in white with a gold world map design and world time zones. The heavy case and base are made of brass. The center of the clock is the North Pole. The world map is divided into time zones, starting with Greenwich time. The time zone shows plus or minus so you can see what time it is in other parts of the world. It also features a rotating black and white dial that shows where it is dark and where there is daylight. 24 hour dial. An elegant and heavy piece in good condition with patina on the brass. The bottom of this stunning clock is stamped “Kieninger & Obergfell”, made in West Germany. The clock is battery quartz operated and works great. The battery compartment is clean.
