About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this fully hallmarked 1906 Birmingham made Sterling Silver mantle clock depicting and mother and child This clock is in totally original condition, apart from some silver polish it is untouched. It has all the hallmarks of 1906 Birmingham. In terms of the condition it looks to be in ok order, its untested as with all my clocks so may need a service, the repousse silver has been polished so much a section is missing on the childs head as you can see in the picture Dimensions: Height 9.5cm top to bottom Width 7cm Depth 6cm Measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.

Its fully hallmarked with the sideways facing Lion for sterling silver, the ship Anchor for Birmingham, the date letter M for 1911, and lastly L&Co for Liberty and Co Between the years of 1899 and 1910 Archibald Knox was one of the principal designers for the London department store Liberty & Co.
