Antique French Clock Dial Face by Japy Frères Industrial Fully Working

About the Item

A lovely painted metal clock dial with original hands by Japy Frères. Recovered by our buyer from a crumbling and forgotten French industrial building, it bares the scars of a hard life. Painted tole wear with flaking paint and rust. The hands are blued steel covered with rust. Originally a mechanical movement by the famed maker Japy Frères, this was mostly missing, our clockmaker has skillfully fitted a modern battery quartz movement, retaining the original hands and winding shaft. The paintwork clear coated to lock in the rust. Measures: 11 3/4" diameter.
