About the Item

French clockmakers were renowned for their craftsmanship during the 19th century. An antique framed hanging Cartel wall clock made of gilded bronze. The hours are shown as Roman numerals. It comes with a round glass cover in the front to protect the hour and minute hands. The front is also where the clock can be set. The decorative accents are very intricately designed. In the back, a little door provides access to the inner workings of the clock. Recently serviced and in working order. A stunning example of the craftsmanship and artistry of the time period.
