Rare Amsterdam School Geometrical Design Oak & Coromandel & Glass Wall Clock

About the Item

Early 20th century, great condition Dutch Arts & Crafts wall clock with original beveled and convex glass windows. Over the years we have sold a few dozen Arts & Crafts table clocks. They were all beautiful and unique in design, but they ARE out there. However, wall clocks from this typical Dutch style period are much harder to find. To have found this stunning, rectangular wall clock was a treat, but to find it in this amazing condition really made our day. For it to run and strike perfectly was another major plus and it all means that it has always been loved and looked after. So if you are looking for a rare, beautiful and great condition wall clock in perfect working order then this antique specimen from 1910-1920 could be perfect for you. The equally stylish, original key to wind both the smooth running eight-day mechanism and the gong striking mechanism is also included. Thanks to the original and strong metal hook on the back, safely mounting this clock on your wall too is child's play. Finally, because of the timeless design (although 'timeless' perhaps is not the best word for a clock) this fine antique will also look great in an Art Deco, but also in a more contemporary interior. If you like the design and the look and feel of this perfect working Arts and Crafts clock as much as we do then you will love our price. Especially when taken into account that perfect packing and worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days are included. Maximum height x width x depth: 20.1 x 12.2 x 4.8 inches.  We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).

Large Masterly Carved Swiss Black Forest Nutwood Chalet with Clock and Music Box
Located in Lisse, NL
Top quality, hand carved and truly impressive antique clock with 8 music melodies. Over the years we have had the pleasure of owning and selling a number of beautiful Black Forest antiques, but never did we come accross a 19th century Black Forest clock with musical box of this size and with such amazing natural details and patina AND with the original clock and music box inside. And if that was not enough, this finest of Black Forest clocks is top quality carved from top to bottom in the form of a detailed Swiss chalet. Mind you, this very rare antique clock is entirely hand carved out of nutwood only, which is another sign of the quality of the workmanship and the richness of materials. We have added a large variety of photos so that you can see the many incredibly detailed parts of this Swiss chalet, such as the roof and chimney, the many doors, the stacked lumber outside, the doghouse, the outhouse on the side, the striking balconies, the goose sticking its head out through the balcony, the picked fence, the ladder going up to the barn loft, the clock inside the facade of the house, the music box cilinder in the base etc etc. This antique clock from the 1800s really comes with the most realistically carved chalet house you will ever see. To us, that too is a sign that this Black Forest music box...
