Austrian Ormolu Bronze and Hardstone Desk Set of 4 Pieces, circa 1850

Ormolu desk set ornamented with hardstones, comprising of an inkwell with penholder, candlestick, brush pot and shallow dish, possibly for blotting powder, circa 1850. Each item adorned with decorative foliate engravings and with two mounted Malachite and two red jasper gemstones. The inkwell with a cherub on a malachite plinth the chalice flanked by two dragons and a scrolling foliate pen holder. The blue glass brush holder, with a lion handle to the brush, and the same fine ormolu mounts throughout, finished with a small two section drawer to the base. The shallow opalescent glass dish supported by a cherub. The candleholder finished with a stylized leaf handle.
