About the Item

Pivoting physical globe, in polychrome printed paper mounted on plasterboard. The globe is attached by a brass clamp to a cylindrical base in blackened and waxed turned wood. It’s inscribed “Globe métrique”, Editeur E. Bertaux, G. Thomas successeur 44 rue N.D. des Champs Paris. The colors are a little faded and the paper is a little scuffed at the South Pole, but it is in good condition, with no fractures or breaks.
