Art Deco Period Inkwell Pencil Holder with Woodpecker - Franjou

About the Item

An Art Deco period inkwell, signed Franjou. With a figure of a woodpecker. Made of nickel-plated spelter. On a marble plinth with fluting for a pencil. Franjou is a pseudonym of the great French sculptor Hippolyte Moreau (1832-1926). Made in France, circa 1910-1920. The glass liner from the inkwell is missing.
