The 18th century French frame is of gold and silver leaf, and restored to bring it to its former glory. The painting inside is of the 21st century and signed by the artist; having stunning abstract form paired with a classic ornament frame. Antique with the Modern, coexisting together. Giving us a complimented contrast that draws our attention, but is easy on the eyes. The 18th century had a particular attachment to richly carved and gilded frames; as they were a status symbol of wealth and luxury. You will find a lot of this style of frame was created during the 18th and 19th century, and lasts decades. The painting on the inside is playful and gives off a child like joy, but after all... the interpretation is for the viewer. The painting is also one of a kind, and the original, made specifically for the pairing of this dazzling frame.
