19th Century Small Italian Antique Ebonised Ripple Frame

About the Item

Made in Italy well over one hundred years ago, the striking ebonised wooden ripple frame is made in an 17th and 18th Century Dutch ripple style. Its surface is intricately detailed and textured with carved patterns of indentations and embossments. The frame has been finished with a trim of gold paint around the center edge. In vintage condition. The wood has a lovely patina to it, with minor signs of chipping to the paintwork. A desirable amount of patina. Ability to make into a mirror on request.
