Art Deco Period Sterling Silver Hump-Top Picture Frame With Wood Back
About the Item
Art Deco Period, sterling silver, hump-top picture frame, having a wood back, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1921, Charles Edwin Turner - maker. Measures 9 inches high (at highest point) x 6 inches wide x 4 inches deep (when easel is in open position). The frame has some very minor dints (see photos) and the wood back has some minor scratches (see photos) that are commensurate with age and use. At some time in the past, the ribbon attaching the easel to the back of the frame has been replaced with a leather strip (see photos). Dark areas on sterling silver are reflections. In good antique condition.
