Large Art Deco Nickel Clad Frame

About the Item

Exceptional stepped Art Deco nickel clad display frame. The nickel exterior covers the wood substrate and the fronts of the feet. The wood back is hinged and held in place with small flanges for ease of use and the graphics are under glass. Due to the frame's size it was probably used in a department store, restaurant or soda shop display for sale items or specials. Circa 1930-40. Good overall condition with cosmetic wear due to age and use. Some tarnish, stains, scuffs, minor scratches, dings and divots. Structurally sound and study design. Dark patina to the wood backing. The glass is in good condition. The Poor Jims graphics are not included with the frame and are only used for photography. Poor Jims was an antique store in Brooklyn back in the 1970s. Approximately overall dimensions are 6.75" deep x 16.63" wide x 26.75" high. The sight opening measures approximately 14.5" wide x 22.5" high.
