Small Black Forest carved picture frame
About the Item
This small rectangular Black Forest picture frame has the sides carved to represent rough textured bark and is adorned with applied oak leaves on three sides. This would allow it to either hang on a wall or be supported on a stand. The width is 405 mm (16 inches) and the height 240 mm (9.5 inches). The rebate at the back for the picture is 310 mm (12.25 inches) wide with a height of 125m (4 7/8th inches). it is in very good condition and has retained a nice patina. It would date from the late 1800's.
