Victorian Period, sterling silver mounted on velvet (and having a leather back) picture frame, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1899, Synyer and Beddoes - makers. Measures 6 3/4 inches high (at highest point) x 4 1/2 inches wide (at widest point) x 3 inches deep (when easel is in open position). The frame will hold a photo that measures 5 1/2 inches x 3 3/4 inches. The window shows 5 1/4 inches x 3 1/2 inches of that photo. There is some minor wear (scuffing) to the velvet and leather backing (see photos) that is commensurate with age and use. In good antique condition.
