20th Century Post Modern Wooden Totem Sculpture by Bertrand Creach

About the Item

Impressive iroko wooden totem sculpture by Bertrand Creach, hand-carved and burnished finition made in the late 20th Century. "Kloc'hdi" is a master piece among the body of work of the artist. This sculpture is an abstracted exploration of bell towers in Brittany where Creach grew up. In his felling emotion, vision deals with the physical spaces carved out by those experiences. Like being able to trace one's memories back to childhood, the carved openings are paths to past experiences, a road that allows us to navigate the mind and find our way through time. This elevated geometric form is symbolic of an infinite path and a spiritual mind.
