courts, cenote represents, with its pure materiality, the ancient Mesoamerican
glory. An exhaustive work with sand casting —the author creates a hand made patina through thousands of layers and the use of different acids —becomes a tangible proof of the piece’s singularity.
C. Nuñez explores the concept of "true purpose" for contemporary creators. He translates this idea into art pieces, objects, and projects as a whole—outcomes that express, through their individuality, different layers of a rational and emotional approach.
