This minimal yet effortlessly stunning Mid-Century Modernist Organic Hand-Blown Transparent Murano Art Glass Sculpture is signed Salviati and originates from Italy, Circa 1960. Features an asymmetrical rounded form in stunning hand-blown murano glass, with a softened directional point and elliptical open center. This well weighted and substantial sculpture has a bold presence and captures light from the surrounding environment, swirling with subtle detailing in the glass and rests on a carefully achieved flat beveled surface. Salviati, originally founded by a Vicenza born lawyer who founded his company fabricating enamel and glass art with brilliant attention to detail and material precision, the company has been producing highly coveted pieces and has been at the top of the industry for over 160 years.
