Andrea Salvatori (Italy, 1975) is an internationally renowned visual artist working with the ceramic medium to realize often ironic and witty sculptures, sometimes involving a diverse selection of found objects, such as Murano glass vases, Meissen Porcelain miniatures or Ginori period ceramics sourced in flea markets around Europe. Salvatori’s works often begin with these items and proceed by the addition of elements masterfully created by the artist, generating an unexpected semantic shift. The result is unique, encompassing pop culture and kitsch aesthetics: a witty and effective way to turn reality upside-down and at the same time a powerful combination of exquisite craftsmanship and genuine irony.
Andrea Salvatori was born on 3 of March 1975 in Faenza (Ra), Italy; he has graduated at the Istituto d’arte for Ceramic in Faenza in 1995, and he then graduated with a Degree in Sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna in 2000. During his studies, Andrea learned the secrets of ceramics from the creative duo Bertozzi & Casoni having worked as an apprentice in their studio for many years at the same way as during Renaissance artists learned their practice with their Masters. Since 1997 he had several individual and collective exhibitions. In 2009 he won the first prize at the 56th edition of the prestigious Premio Faenza, the International Contest of Contemporary Art Ceramics, for which he classified second in the prior edition. The geological term 'erratic' refers to a stone or boulder that differs to its surrounding rock, that is believed to have been displaced and deposited by glacier movement. Differing from his Auri collection, Scala's aim was to produce a series of sculptures that are freer, amorphous and suggestive of movement. Striking in the singular, these really capture this concept en masse.
With a career in glass now spanning over 20 years, Scala creates art works that can only be described as acts of precision. As equally beautiful as they are meticulously created and despite being a hugely skilled glass blower, it is with cold working that Scala excels.
Initially qualified as an architectural model maker, it was during this time that Scala learnt many disciplines that would be equally relevant to and ultimately inform his practice today. His passion for glass was discovered however during an apprenticeship with Peter Layton at his studio at London Glassblowing. The beginning of a long standing association for him with this acclaimed studio.

Metal reflections highlight the feathery radius and create gentle shadows that deepen and project the sculpture into the wall. Jean-Baptiste Van den Heede defines himself as a cabinetmaker-designer and an artist of academic training and family tradition. He has achieved unique designs of national and international prestige and has several awards in avant-garde furniture.
Born in Argentina in 1966, from an Argentine mother and a Belgian father. At 5 years of age he and his family moved to Belgium.
To train as a wood professional, he first studied 4 years of carpentry. Then he continued training in cabinetmaking and carving for 5 more years. Always in search of contributing something more to his trade, he studied furniture and antique design, culminating this with the study of Sculpture at the Royal Academies of Fine Arts in Liège (Belgium) and graduating with honors.
Work the stone, the wood and experience the forge. From the beginning it is directed towards a search for signs, abstract writings and unrealistic figures in analogy with other “Primitive” cultures.
He taught drawing and sculpture in Brussels at the private school “la main et l´ esprit” As well as summer courses in Liege (Belgium) “les ateliers d´art contemporain”.
In 1995 he went to Barcelona where he taught and investigated the reliefs of different supports such as trees, floors, and especially sewer covers.
He searched again analogies between current art and Prehistoric, African art, etc.
Participated in several exhibitions both at the artistic level and avant-garde design.
In 2002, he moved down to Albacete and then to a town in the province where he still works.
