Red Chalice on Black Tripod Legs, Hand Built Ceramic Stoneware

About the Item

This Red Ceramic Chalice is a modern take on an ancient idea, designed and hand built by the artist, Helena Starcevic. It has a glossy red glaze over a dark clay body which shows through and adds depth to the glaze. The tripod legs have a matte black glaze. The chalice cup has a wave rim, revealing the individuality and uniqueness from the Artist's hand-work. You could drink from the shallow bowl like a goblet or you could float a single flower. Mostly, an object of contemplation and conversation. Fully hand-formed, fired twice. Signed with artist's signature chop at bottom.
