About the Item
Studio glass sculpture by Shafaq Malik. It has applied orange and green finials with a floating navy and yellow cane bubble at the bottom. It is in excellent, original condition with no dings or scratches to the glass. Clearly signed, "Design S. Malik" on the bottom.
Shafaq Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 1991 and a Masters of Fine arts Degree from Texas Christian University in Forth Worth, Texas in 2011. She worked as an Art Glass designer from 1995 to 2003 and collaborated with several Art Glass Studios in the United States (Fanoos), Czech Republic (Barovier & Tosso, Ajeto, Studio Prince, Studio Hut Charlotta), Sweden (Lindshammar). Her pieces are in private collections and museums around the world. Today, she works as a Multimedia artist, paints, works in 3D and mixed media. She exhibits in international exhibitions and has been included in permanent collections.
