About the Item

Albert Feraud (1921-2008). Sculpture in stainless steel, signed hollow at the base. This great artist, internationally recognized, works metal from the sixties. With his friends César and Michel Guino, they recover the material in the scrap yards and scrapers. Unique piece. Biography: Albert Féraud studied at the schools of fine arts of Montpellier, Marseille and Paris in the studio of Alfred Janniot. He was the first grand prize of Rome of sculpture in 1951. Between 1950 and 1960, he executed many works of stone or bronze. Beginning in 1960, Albert Féraud discovers the material of recovery and his work will evolve towards an abstraction more and more marked. With his sculptor friends of the generation of "recuperators", César and Michel Guino in particular, he finds his materials in the car crashes, Industrial discharges. It is oriented towards work in welded iron and then in stainless steel.
