About the Item

Large matt glazed ceramic horse by the celebrated ceramicist Bruno Gambone. This particular subject matter is an unusual one for this artist. Italy circa 1970s. Bruno Gambone is an Italian ceramist and the son of Guido Gambone, one of the most prominent ceramists in Italy in the 1950s and 1960s. Bruno took over his father's workshop in Florence after his death in 1969. His work was influenced by minimalist art from the 1960s and 1970s.
