Pair of Cast Iron Lion Decorations, Circa 1940's
About the Item
Pair of wonderfully detailed cast iron lion decorations from England. They are finished in black paint, and are stamped on the backs Leach & Thompson Ltd, Chapel Foundry Keighley, West Yorkshire, England. The foundry has been in business since the 1930's and is still in the same foundry in Keighly. Leach & Thompson are still known for their highly detailed castings of excellent quality. This pair of lions would look great on a mantle, or in any display where a little whimsy is called for.
