Pheasant by Alcino Silversmith 1902 is a handcrafted piece in 925 sterling silver with bone beak The piece is totally handcrafted, hammered and chiseled by excellent craftsmen, giving this piece a much higher future valorization. Some of the used techniques: Design: Every creation starts from a sketch. We design all our pieces in-house and we seek for the perfect balance between traditional features and contemporary trends. Melting Silver: The first step of the production process is to melt the silver. This will allow us to shape it into silver sheets with the correct thickness to produce a final piece. Chiseling: Chiseling is the process of shaping a piece of material by carving or cutting away small pieces. It can be done with a variety of tools, but is most commonly associated with using a chisel. This animal sculpture is a unique piece due to his handcrafted work. No two animals will never be the same. Pheasants are characterised by strong sexual dimorphism, males being highly decorated with bright colours and adornments such as wattles. Males are usually larger than females and have longer tails. Males play no part in rearing the young. They have also a strong This piece was handcrafted in our workshop in Porto, Portugal. It is all made in Sterling silver 925 with natural fossil application and the eyes are grenade natural eyes. The finishing is oxidized. Sterling Silver 925 Weight: 1200 grames.
