Antique Edwardian Wasp Waist Mannequin – c. 1900–1910
A rare and elegant early 20th-century tailor's mannequin featuring the iconic wasp waist silhouette, characteristic of the Edwardian and Art Nouveau era. Constructed from papier-mâché and covered in its original aged linen, this mannequin reflects the idealized female form of the time, with a dramatically cinched waist, high bust, and curved hip line — designed to accommodate the S-bend corset style popular in fashion around 1900–1910.
This piece would have been used in a couture atelier or high-end dressmaker’s shop. The patina, surface marks, and wear are consistent with age and use, and add to its authentic charm. A beautiful collector’s item or statement decorative piece for an interior with vintage or industrial themes.

The linen cover is intact albeit stained and all stitching is sound except for a small stretch under the right arm which has become loose and has signs of old repair. No stand.
