A Fine Pair of Mid 19th Century English Carved Carrara Marble Busts on Wooden Pedestals By John Denton Crittenden Depicting a well-to-do man and woman. Each signed J.D. CRITTENDEN. SC and dated 1860. John Denton Crittenden (1834-1877) was a British artist and sculptor. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy and specialized in making fine marble bust. Sculptures Height – 29.5 inches / 75cm Width – 22 inches / 56cm Pedestals Height – 41 inches / 104cm
