Perfectly serene and smiling undernearth her typical early twentieth century 'hatwear' she has a presence that will never fail to impress. This solid, two tone alabaster sculpture from circa 1910 was made by a highly talented sculptor by the name of Fattorini who was one of the greats from the last generation of Italian master sculptors. For anyone to be able to carve a perfect and serene face like this out of a rock of alabaster, to us, is like the work of a higher power. The perfect manner in which the hat sits on her head is incredibly realistic too. Only a true artisan and master carver is capable of creating such details, tenderness, grace and serenity out of a marble-like material. Thanks to its durability this alabaster sculpture can be enjoyed by you (and your loved ones) for the rest of your lives and by generations after you.
