Inspired by the tradition of artists such as Edmonia Lewis, Elizabeth Catlett, and Augusta Savage, The Keisha Bust by Haitian-American artist Jessica Jean-Baptiste is a celebration of the beauty of Black life and Black bodies. Cast in plaster and handmade by the artist in her New York studio, Keisha's expression is revolutionary - a Black woman at peace. Each sculpture is handmade and one-of-a-kind.
