About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this rare and quite exquisite original 19th century Napoleon III French bust of a stunning young lady signed to the rear.
A truly stunning sculpture, the look and feel is sublime, this young lady has a look of peace and serenity, from every angle I find her simply charming.
In terms of the condition the piece has been lightly cleaned and that's it, otherwise its totally original. I can't see any chips cracks or negative points to note, the underside of the torso is hand cut so it has a rough finish, the base is polished so a very smooth finish which is a nice contrast
The piece is signed to the back as pictured but I can't read it, if anyone knows who the sculptor is please feel free to educate me.
