South East Asian Grey Stone Head
About the Item
Unusual carved stone head with storage compartment. The South East Asian grey stone carved in the shape of a male head wearing a conical hat and having a moustache. The hat lifts to reveal a storage cavity within with obvious signs of hand-made carving. The stone head dates to the second half of the Qing dynasty 1644 to 1912. The stone is an unusual and decorative piece.

The Polar bear beautifully carved with a naturalistic look finished with cabochon ruby eyes stood upon a natural rock crystal base simulating an iceberg.
