About the Item

Bust sculpture by Swedish sculptor Liss Eriksson. Made from Stoneware with oak hairpin and earring. Made during the 1950s. Signed with monogram LE and XXXV/XXXIII. Very good condition with light age related wear and patina. Liss Eriksson b. 1919-2000, was a Swedish sculptor born in Stockholm. After studied at Konsthögskolan in Stockholm under Eric Grate and Nils Sjögren Liss persued a career as a sculptor. in 1947 he exhibited at "Ung Konst" together with among other Arne Jones. His art is represented with many public works around Sweden. His work can be found in the collections of Nationalmuseum, Norrköpings konstmuseum among others.
