Lladro Porcelain Flamenco Dancers, 1970s A Lladro, Spanish, porcelain high glazed pastel colored sculpture od Flamenco dancing couple of 46.5 cm high,33 cm wide and the depth 15 cm. The weight is approx. 3 kilos. The original Lladro porcelain was made by three brothers; Juan, José and Vicente Lladró, in 1953, at their home in Almàssera, in Valencia, Spain. By 1955, their artistic talents were creating elegantly sculpted figurines, and their interest and desire to establish their own porcelain company peaked in 1958 when they decided to make porcelain full-time. They moved to a larger warehouse in the nearby town of Tavernes Blanques and Lladro Porcelain was born as a full-fledged business.
