For collectors of Black Forest antiques and for collectors of rare and well-crafted, decorative light fixtures, we also have this striking Lusterweibchen pendant. This type of light fixture was first seen in the 14th century in Germany and they became more 'popular' in the 16th century. The last revival dates back to the late 19th/early 20th century and this particularly well carved 'lady bust light fixture' also dates from that era. These female sculpture pendants are more rare than the male ones and apart from the beautifully carved maid sculpture this Lusterweibchen is extra rare, because the ibex antlers are actually carved out of wood also.
