Early 19th Century English Prattware Pipe

About the Item

Early 19th century Prattware pipe made in the Staffordshire region of England. This figural pipe is unusual and has a woman smoking through the head of a man. She is dressed in a floral patterned dress, and is wearing a tall hat, as is the man's head which forms the bowl of the pipe. The handle is in the form of a branch and leaf, glazed in a majolica type glaze of blue and green. This is a very unusual pipe and is wonderful to be in such great condition.
