About the Item

French Art Deco Bronze Moulin Rouge/Flapper Balancing Lighted Balls Sculpture, France, circa 1920s,  A monumental and extraordinary French Art Deco bronze sculpture depicting a Moulin Rouge/Flapper figure balancing lighted balls was crafted in France circa the 1920s. This large and striking work stands 47 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 15 inches deep, making it an impressive statement in any space. The sculpture masterfully merges art and functionality, capturing the whimsy and motion of a walking beauty balancing two illuminated white glass balls in each hand. Although unsigned, the influences of renowned French sculptors Marcel Bouraine and Demétre Chiparus are evident in the graceful lines and elegant posture of the figure. This interactive work has been newly rewired for modern use and features an inline on/off switch, ensuring it is both a stunning decorative sculpture and a functional light source. The sculpture’s Art Deco design, characterized by its subtle geometric lines, reflects the exuberance and sophistication of the 1920s. Whether illuminated or unlit, this captivating work is ready to be placed and enjoyed. It is ideal for collectors of fine Art Deco pieces or anyone looking to add a touch of Le Moulin Rouge.  Overall Measurements: Standing 47 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 15 inches deep The height of the staggered, lighted 3-inch-diameter removable white glass balls is 39 and 30 inches high.  The base measures 18 inches wide by 14 inches deep.

Art Deco Lady Figurine Table Lamp Bronze Sculpture, French circa 1930
Located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire
This is a stunning figurine table lamp of a nude lady bronze Figurine sculpture made in France, circa 1930. The figurine is heavy and made of bronze metal with good detail. It has been cold painted with a green colour which has worn away in places, showing a patinated bronze colour beneath. The lady is stood on a round ball above a shaped shell like base. The figure is holding the lamp above her head with the electric cable running into the base and vertically up her back to the lamp fitting above. A coloured spherical glass shade firmly sits in the dished support. The light is currently fitted with a small bayonet fitting, the whole electrical fitting having been PAT tested for safety compliance in the UK. The fitting could easily be modified to suit the electricity supply of the country where it might be used . This piece is typical of the Art Deco aesthetic, with the sleek lines of the nude girl figure holding the globe light above. The lamp is in full working order. This is a substantial heavy piece weighing about 2.5Kg unpacked. Overall a beautiful original Art Deco Lady Figurine...
