Pair of 18th Century Italian Carved Giltwood and Polychrome Angel Statues
About the Item
Decorate a mantel or a console with this important pair of antique giltwood angel sculptures. Crafted in Italy circa 1760, each hand carved religious statue features is kneeling in genuflection on a wooden base, and has both arms raised up in exaltation; each tall cherub has wonderful details including the dark curly hair, fine facial and clothing movements. Both large cupid sculptures are in very good condition commensurate with age and use and adorn the original polychrome and gold leaf finish. Some normal visible age separations.
