Pair of Centennial 10" Bronzes of Washington & Franklin, Circa:1876

About the Item

These statuettes of George Washington & Benjamin Franklin were hand cast, probably in France in the 1870s, to be sent to the USA for sale during the 100 year anniversary of the American revolution. The name of each is on the base of the figure. The statues stand on painted wooden bases. Each figure is finely detailed, reminiscent of the work of sculptor Francois Marie Suzanne.
